Our vision and our mission in DEF7, is to bring music from all over the world together, whether it be the drums of Africa we hear in the Afro Beats songs, or the Sounds from Morocco, to the Hip Hop music of Atlanta, Miami, New York and LA, or the old school R&B, sounds of Motown, to the soul of Latin music, bringing these special sounds together under one umbrella. Music for Motion Pictures made for TV movies, drama, commercials or digital releases. One resource for all genres of music.
Together our Award winning team will scout additional talent from the streets of Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Miami, and LA… from the subway musicians, to the sounds emanating from disadvantaged communities, where talent thrives, but goes un-recognized. Our vision is to constantly source exceptional talent, as we produce music from our award winning team.

Jaci Kidd is an Award winning Publisher/Executive Producer. Winning multiple Gold and Platinum Awards as well as Publisher of the Year. Born in Montreal and having lived all over the world, Jaci has had the opportunity to meet and listen to artists of all genres of music. Having had the success of signing artists and producers alike to major labels such as Universal Music Group, Sony ATV, Warner Music, Create Music Group, Jaci has worked hard for the success of her clients. As Executive Producer of the Album “Chi Town”, Jaci brought kids from one of the most dangerous areas of Chicago, Roseland, and together with her team of award winning producers, (Boi1da, Arthur McArthur, August Rigo, and Beat Merchant) as well as award winning song writers, lived with these 9 young people to produce an album to have kids put down their guns and turn to the power of music. The album received accolades from The Crime Commissioner of Chicago as well as Mayor Rahm Emanuel, as well as the head of Universal Music Group and Warner Music. Two of the songs on the album were featured on CNN All Star Hero’s and was introduced by Ice Cube. Jaci Kidd is very involved in bringing music from the streets and giving the opportunity to disadvantaged kids to have their talents heard. Giving them hope and a chance to achieve their dreams, where they thought they had no way to get their music heard. “Every kid deserves a chance to be heard, there is so much talent out there. We owe it to our children, no matter where they are from, to give them hope. I want to do that. I will always fight for the disadvantaged, the underprivileged”.

Ash is a Director and Creative Producer who, over the past decade, has produced an eclectic body of work for companies across the entire media spectrum. Having been head of production for multiple independent production companies, producing films and content for Lionsgate, Universal, SyFy Channel, Warner Bros and more. His projects have garnered him recognition not only as an independent producer but also as an award-winning director with multiple awards across various film festivals. His resources and connections in the industry have brought him accolade and opportunity to work with some of the most influential people in the film and media industry. With a background in music Ash puts an emphasis on bridging the gap between music and media, bringing award winning Music artists and Filmmakers together. He produced the multiple award winning short film “Tunnel Vision” starring music artists Gerald (G-EAZY) Gillum, Keak Da Sneak and Three 6 Mafia. Ash's creative team has produced music videos across a broad spectrum with a worldwide reach for the likes of artists such as Wiz Khalifa, 6lack, Tyler The Creator and Cardi B to name a few.

He has written for and produced acts: Boyz II Men, India Arie, P!NK, Blaque, Divine, Destiny Child, Keri Hilson and Menudo. L.A. Reid (Sony/Epic) signed Willie as a songwriter in 1997 to 2005. Hector Felipe Michel better known as Akillìz is an American Producer, Songwriter, Audio Engineer, and Recording Artist from El Monte, California. Completely surrounded by the Chicano Rap game, he started writing poetry when he was 10 years old and quickly developed them into song lyrics. After leaving the Los Angeles County area at the age of 16 he began taking his craft to the next level and began learning Audio Engineering and Production. He began recording himself and started bringing in clientele to fund his career. After spending his time perfecting his artistry, in 2016 he started releasing his music starting with “You & I” and began mixing his Salvadorian, and Mexican culture into his music and making his transition into Reggaeton which welcomed him with open arms. Opening up for Snow the Product, Phora, King Lil G, Jarren Benton, JL, Akwid and many more, Landing production work with Strange Music and Also landing licensing placements on shows such as: Siesta Key, Cartel Crew and many more. Now with all of 10 years in the industry he released his album “Carta De Amor” late 2019, and is currently working on album number 2.
DANIEL IYERE

Daniel Iyere is a mixed media producer & culture curator who currently lives in Los Angeles, California. “I want to play music that is meaningful, that stands the test of time,” says Daniel, borrowing words of Fela Kuti. Under this mantra, he has produced rich and compelling material, rife with lush polyrhythm that reflects parts of his early music education and roots in Lagos, Nigeria. Daniel was born in Lagos, Nigeria but moved to the United States to pursue a college degree in music technology at Radford University, VA. Upon graduating, Iyere spent years working as a freelance producer, lending his skills to record labels, publishers and artists, alike. Daniel has worked as a producer for Sony Music Entertainment where his musical contributions helped launch the career of Cuban-American artist Kat Dahlia, amongst others. Daniel has licensed music to Starbucks, MTV, VH1, American Idol, and others. His work has garnered millions of streams across major platforms such as Spotify. Recently Daniel began developing a new
catalogue of music that focuses on his vocals Currently, Daniel is rounding up work on a new project called Mainland Blues in which draws from influences spanning his upbringing in Lagos and
exposure to Afrobeat artists like Fela Kuti, to the gospel and contemporary neo-soul sound that is currently enjoying a large resurgence in America and beyond.

Jamaican born R&B/Pop sensation Christian John is no stranger when it comes to lead vocals. Coming from a family steeped in music, He inherited his vocal abilities from his Uncle, Legendary Icon, Reggae artist “I-Roy” (Roy Samuel Reid) and first performed at the tender age of seven. Hailed as one of Canada’s leading songwriters Recording artist, - Christian has already proven his track record in the Industry with his soulful sound and sultry good looks.
As part of his commitment to philanthropy Christian became one of the Executive Producers of the “Chi Town” album written with inner city kids from Chicago to help stop the violence plaguing their city. The album received incredible reviews by both Universal Music Group as well as Fontana North. Christian also worked with “habitat for humanity” as a volunteer to build a house and a church. Following this he ventured to Africa taking a sabbatical to build another school and has recently returned to music full-time. Christian has teamed up with Def 7 as an A&R, discovering hot new talent from all around the world.
