MEO

Music producer, songwriter, engineer and entrepreneur based in Marietta, GA. With over a decade of experience as a producer in the music industry the Keller, Texas native has worked with artists such as Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, Eric Bellinger, NoCap, Ne-Yo and many others. While over the years, Méo has expanded his brand, as well as his in-studio capabilities by adding songwriting and engineering to his repertoire, that hasn't always been the case.

While a freshman in high school, Méo was introduced to his first music industry mentor Troy Taylor, who showed him how to study and craft music at a professional level. Upon graduating, rather than going to college like the majority of his peers, Méo made the decision to move to Atlanta to pursue his dreams as a music producer.

In 2010, with the release of Trey Songz' Passion, Pain, & Pleasure, Méo had gotten his first major placement, which would later lead to his first certified RIAA platinum plaque. Shortly after, he began getting placements with artists such as 2 Chainz, The Game, Kevin Ross, Ne-Yo and many others.

Looking to try something different, in 2012, Méo decided to start using samples from 90's music and mix them with R&B chords and drums. In 2013, he and a fellow writer, Jacquar937 teamed to write a few records for Eric Bellinger. One of those songs was released on Bellinger's Rebirth album and featured 90s R&B star Jon B using a sample from a 90s song.

Méo continued to lock in placements and expand his network throughout the years, but began to really take an interest in the business side of things, as well as the social dynamics that surrounded the music industry.

In 2017, Méo began taking personal and business development courses in order to maximize his potential in the music business. As a part of a project in one of his classes, Méo decided to release a project on all DSPs featuring other artists which he titled, “Full Circle” which was a representation of his music career up to that point. After 7 years of being in an unfavorable publishing deal, he’d finally gotten his long awaited release.

In 2020, Méo created Funikid Productions, a music production company designed to help upcoming artists, producers, and songwriters build a catalog of high quality music and create opportunities through network expansion. Later that year, Méo connected with Sony Music Latin’s Luis Figueroa which would later lead to the release of Vuela (Remix) on Figueroa’s 1807 album in 2021.
